PORTABLE HEATING DEVICES FOR HYPOTHERMIA TREATMENT DURING RESCUE AND EMERGENCY SITUATIONS

OMP EMG is an active heating device consisting internally of carbon fibres protected by a biocompatible PVC thermo-envelope. The technical features of the device mean it can be used to heat a large surface of the body, or it may be folded (see example) when it is not possible to prepare the patient for full coverage.
OMP EMG heats only when it detects low temperatures and functions without the need to adjust the temperature during use.
The quality and quantity of body warming as a treatment in hypothermia emergency cases is a delicate issue: a significant amount of scientific publications exist on this topic, and it is well known that excessive and uncontrolled heating may cause harm rather than providing benefits.
OMP EMG is capable of reaching 35 °C max. in around 2 minutes: the time/temperature relationship was calibrated to ensure an adequate level of heating (not dangerous) in a time frame that matches emergency duration and needs.
OMP EMG has a thermal sensor system able to manage the heating temperature control. The safety of the device means it may be used in particularly difficult situations.

OMP EMG is hand washable and can be easily disinfected (see operating instructions). For improved hygiene levels, the heating blanket may be used over a non-woven disposable tissue (OMP EMG / C) which will keep the device clean and protected, including from liquids (disinfectants, blood, etc.). The OMP EMG is very simple to operate: connect it to a power outlet with the 12 volt power cord or a dedicated battery. The blanket will safely heat to 35 °C. The whole surface of the blanket heats and if it is disconnected from a power supply, it will warm the patient through thermal conduction.
The blanket can be placed directly in contact with the skin of the patient.

OMP A.T.ISOL

FOR THE SAFEST AIRCRAFT TRANSPORTATION OF INFECTED PATIENTS

The OMP A.T.ISOL. has undertaken and passed the following tests:
Vibration test, subject to longitudinal, lateral and vertical vibrations as for the ones on aircrafts;
Temperature test (from +140° C to - 40° C);
Electromagnetic test with the result of no interference with the aircraft supplies;
Rapid decompression test for the observation of the functionality of OMP A.T.ISOL. under the stress of three consecutive rapid decompressations.
OMP A.T.ISOL. has been used to treat in patients with suspected Ebola, Lassa and Marburg haemorrhagic fevers, as it represents the only available technical mean of reably maintainig airbone isolation in a military transport.
Moreover, the Department of Chemistry of Padua University has tested the PVC transparent envelope so to certify the maximum safety, reliability and robustness of the material for the user’s safety.

OMP S.T.ISOL.

Stretcher Transit ISOLator. FOR THE SAFEST AMBULANCE TRANSPORTATION OF INFECTED PATIENTS.

The OMP S.T.ISOL. is a self - contained isolation facility designed to ensure the safest ambulance transportation of infected patients.
OMP S.T.ISOL. features transparent PVC envelopes suspended from metal frames by detachable plastic rings.
It included gloves sleevers, tranfer and docking ports for patient entry and tranferand supply ports for introducing supplies. Electricity can be supplied by rechargeable batteries or air the aircraft electrical system.
OMP S.T.ISOL. has undertaken and passed tests concerning temperature (from +140° C to - 40° C) and it can stand up to 10 G accelleration. Moreover, the Department of Chemistry of Padua University has tested the PVC transparent envelope so to certify the maximum safety, reliability and robustness of the material for the users safety.
