modulo di missione MODULO DI MISSIONE LOW-ENERGY COMPACT MODULE FOR THE SEA AND BRACKISH WATER TREATMENT
As configured for the Italian Armed Forces.
NATO NATO CODE 4610-15-189-4798 - Part Number: OMP AQUA SOL

The OMP AQUA SOL is a water purification system that uses the principle of reverse osmosis to produce up to 1,400 litres of fresh water per day from brackish and salt water.
Based on UN data, this is sufficient to provide up to 30 personnel with enough water for drinking, cooking and washing daily.
The water system OMP AQUA SOL operates efficiently, safely and reliable for hundreds of hours, without requiring special maintenance other than checking and cleaning the pre-filters.
The module is robust and built with materials resistant to corrosion and falls.
The lightness, compactness and efficiency of the design makes it incredibly easy to carry.

OMP AQUA SOL powered by solar energy or simply connected to a 12/24V battery , is able to produce, with the same energy required, more water than any other system on a small scale available on the market today.

These features make OMP AQUA SOL suitable in emergency situations or in remote areas characterized by hard conditions. Ideal for the field of the Armed Forces, Civil Defense, humanitarian associations, and construction companies.

Reverse Osmosis (RO) is very well known mechanism for water purification. Different configurations are available, depending on local requirements and water characteristics. The RO process used in OMP product improves the quality of drinking water by reducing both its total salt content and the total amount of specific contaminants. In case of brackish sources the water is pressurised at 8-15 atmospheres in order to pass it through the osmotic membrane, while the sea water pressure must also rise to 50-60 atmospheres. The membrane eliminates up to 98% of all other substances (i.e. salts, heavy metal ions, organic compounds, pesticides, bacterial colonies, etc).
